Mumbai Saga Teaser Out: John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi-starrer is All Set to Rule the Box-office


John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi are back with an action-packed crime thriller titledMumbai Saga. The trailer of the much-anticipated film is out and has been blowing the audiences’ mind. The teaser starts with the text reading, “When Bombay was not yet Mumbai when violence ruled the streets.”Then, the teaser gives us glimpses of John’s character Amartya Rao, who rose from the streets of Bombay and wants to rule the city’s underworld in the eighties and nineties. In the next still,Emraan Hashmi is introduced as a cop who rose from the ‘ghettos’ of Bombay to destroy Amartya’s reign and make the city violence-free. The film is set in the 1980s and ’90s.

The action-packed drama is directed by Sanjay Gupta and co-produced by Bhushan and Krishan Kumar. Apart from John and Emraan, the film also stars Suniel Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, Mahesh Manjrekar, Gulshan Grover, Amole Gupte, Rohit Roy and Prateik Babbar in pivotal roles.

Both the actors have also shared the teaser on their respective social media handles. John shared the teaser on his Instagram handle and announced the releasing date. He also asked the audience to get ready to witness the ‘Saga of the Year’ in the caption.

The film is slated to hit the theatres on March 19. Earlier, it was speculated to have an OTT release, however, the director denied the same and confirmed to have a theatrical premier. He is quoted by India Times as saying, “I was certain that I had a story that everyone would love to watch on the big screen, enjoying the company of their loved ones with a bucket of popcorn. And here we are, ready to rock the cinemas with ‘Mumbai Saga’, a story that’s unlike any other.”

Sanjay Gupta is known for several hit films like Shootout at Lokhandwala, Jazbaa, Kaabil, Musafir and Zinda.
