The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final result of the CDS (Combined Defence Services) 1 Examination 2022. Candidates who appeared in the examination can check and download the final result and complete merit list of CDS 1 Examination 2022 at upsc.gov.in. 

UPSC CDS 1 Final Result 2022: Merit List

The final result of the UPSC CDS 1 Examination 2022 has been compiled by evaluating the performance of candidates in the written test and SSB interview. The UPSC CDS 1 Written Exam was conducted on April 10, 2022, and was followed up by the SSB interviews held by the Services Selection Board. 

However, the results of the medical examination have not been taken into consideration while preparing the final merit list. Moreover, the individual marks of candidates shall be made available only after the result of the ‘Officers Training Academy (OTA) for Combined Defence Services 1 2022’ is declared.

A total of 164 candidates have successfully made their way into the final merit list of the UPSC CDS 1 Examination 2022. The UPSC aimed at inducting bright candidates into as many as 341 vacancies in various courses across several military institutions in the country. These courses are set to commence from January 2023. 

Announcing the UPSC CDS 1 2022 Final Result, the official notification released on UPSC’s official website reads, “The following are the lists, in order of merit of 164 (104 + 46 + 14) candidates who have qualified on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2022 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in April, 2022 and SSB interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the 154th (DE) Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course i.e. No. 213 F(P) Course.”

  • Visit the official UPSC website – upsc.gov.in
  • Click on ‘Final Result: Combined Defence Services Examination (I) 2022’ link under the “What’s New” section of the homepage
  • The UPSC CDS 1 Final Merit List shall now be displayed on your screen
  • You can now check for your result using your application number
  • Download and save the merit list for future reference
